Westwood College Online Graduate Peggy Shields was recently honored with a nomination for the Career College Association’s GREAT award. Shields was one of only 80 graduates nominated for the award this year.

This award recognizes graduates who have excelled academically or have displayed extraordinary talent in their fields and who have overcome the obstacles to achieve their educational dreams. Simply being nominated for this award sets Peggy apart as a truly exceptional graduate.

Harris Miller, president and CEO of the Career College Association, recognized that quality in a letter to Peggy following her nomination, “Please accept my sincere appreciation for all of your hard work, sacrifice and dedication ... Yours is a truly inspiring personal success story.”

Simply the Best!
Posted on Apr 23, 2008

Maria Culp, Jerry Shields and Peggy ShieldsI nominated my husband, Jerry, for Best Administrative Professional in Central Pennsylvania, a recognition opportunity made available through the Central PA Chamber of Commerce and BIG COUNTRY/Y-106.5. He was one of 12 winners chosen via a random drawing.

In addition to being my husband, he is my best friend and assistant. A disabled veteran, he supports Projects by Peggy by driving me to appointments, making bank runs, and providing bookkeeping and typing assistance as needed. If I need help with anything, he is right there ... willing and able to assist.

In addition to the administrative help he provides, he handles all the computer networking tasks to keep me online and working. I rely on him and value his efforts on behalf of Projects by Peggy.
