School News

Westwood Logo Adjusting to life without studying is a new experience, but one I am getting used to. I am so busy that I can't help but wonder how I used to find time for school. This is a GOOD problem to have.

I Did It!

In December, my husband Jerry and I traveled to Colorado to meet the Westwood College Online staff and participate in my college graduation, which was held at the Westin Hotel in Westminster on December 14. We spent 7 days on the road, beat the snow storms and only took a few detours along the way!

Never underestimate the power of an education. I learned a lot, including things I didn’t realize I needed to know.

I am now the proud owner of a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Web Design and Multimedia. It was a lot of hard work and time consuming, but I was able to maintain a GPA of 3.97 and achieved Dean’s List honors throughout my college career. I was inducted into the Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society, which recognizes academic excellence and integrity, and was a member and recorder of the Student Senate. In July, I was hired by Westwood College as an online Web Design Tutor under the federal work study program.

In reality, my education will never end. To keep up with technology and ever changing web standards, I will always be learning. Post graduation, I plan to focus on building Projects by Peggy and utilizing my education and skills to create websites that meet World Wide Web Consortium standards.
